Our Story

Sykes ... a glove born of a deep friendship. And a great love for the most important tool for us goalkeepers: goalkeeper gloves!

Who's behind Sykes? Primarily two people: me, Richard Strebinger, who is honored to write this article, and Gabriel Suprun, my friend and fellow goalkeeper, who, in the fall of 2023, picked up on my own ideas for developing and producing our own gloves and said to me: "Let's get on with this!"

Highly motivated, we tackled the ambitious goal of producing our own gloves! And of course, we were confronted with challenges we never expected. We heard phrases like, "What nonsense," "Goalkeeper gloves!? A waste of time," or "Everything already exists!" from all sides. But we didn't let that deter us. Deep down, we were confident that we could develop gloves right from the start that could not only compete with well-known brands and manufacturers, but in some areas could even be better.

Because our goal has always been, how could it be otherwise as a goalkeeper, to be number 1.
